Abraham, Maroon Chief

Abraham lived in Seminole Chief Micanopy's black town of Pilaklikaha but was driven out during the Second Seminole War (1835-42). He later traveled to Washington, D.C., witnessed treaties, and served as an official translator for the Seminoles.
